Chinese New Year Cruises Social Media Campaign
The purpose of this project was to create a single page PDF that would be emailed to potential customers informing them of the upcoming Chinese New Year specialty cruise. This was going to be a “one-off” so the potential to break brand guidelines was there. I really wanted to capture the spirit of the celebration and the Asian art form while maintaining an awareness for the needs of the company.
This is for 2015, the year of the goat, so I created an original logo combining a goats head with the year. I also mimicked Asian art techniques. such as gold leafing, and incorporated Chinese imagery and characters. I also gave the boat image a painterly effect to blend in with the rest of the piece.
To support the PDF I created a web banner, eblast header and social images to be introduced online leading up to the cruise.
